What Causes Extreme Pain In My Lower Back?

I believe I had a miscarriage and now I am having extreme lower back pain. It has been over a week and it is to the point that it is unbearable. I have a Dr.'s appointment set but it isn't for another 2 weeks. Any suggestions as to what may be going on?

Spine Surgeon 's  Response
If the pain confined to your back and not radiate to your thigh or leg It should be muscle and ligament problem.
But If you also have legman and numbness it's mean you may have slip lumbar disc.
So you should avoid twisting, lifting, bending of your back then wait and see for 1 week if you still have severe pain you may need MRI to check your lumbar disc.

Good luck.
