What Causes Extreme Pain In Swollen Wrists Leading To Sleeplessness?

I was recently informed that I have polyarthritis. I have not slept well in weeks, and I am wakened by extreme pain in my swollen wrists. I feel like someone has driven a stake through my hands and wrists/arm areas. I have wished for death during the pain episodes, so it will stop hurting. I do not read anything about such pain with any arthritis symptoms. I m waiting for a TB result before I obtain meds. Am I alone with this pain ?

Hello,
You are not alone as arthritis is very common disease and I can assure you that you are not having TB as it almost never involve multiple joints.I think you would need to see a Rheumatologist. You need to take medicines for long time.He will write you following medicines.
1.HCQ
2.Methotrexate
3. Saaz
I hope that after taking those medicines you will feel better. Let me know if there is any other assistance you need.
