Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
With the limited history you have given it is difficult to point at a particular point. The medications you are receiving will only give you symptomatic relief. we need to find the root cause for the symptom and treat it accordingly:
1. type of the pain, if sharp and shooting type suggest the
sciatica type.
2. get checked for diabetic or
thyroid disorder as it leads to pain along the outer side of the thigh called meralgia parasthetica.
3. if following a trauma to the muscle it will be different
4. if related to bowel and the urinary stones it will be colicky type which comes and goes with high intensity
5.check whether you take adequate water daily
6.meet your physician and tell about the quality of pain, duration , episodes
7. need for urine ,blood testing and if from the lower back to get a
ultrasound to rule out
kidney stones.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
