What Causes Fatigue And Excessive Sleepiness?

my husband is having issues with being tired a lot. he drives quite a bit at work, and says today he had to stop twice in a 30 mile stretch to walk around because he was falling asleep. he has high blood pressure, and took a pill today. he was on ultra for 8 years and thinks it changed his body metabolism and made it where he s worn out all the time. he does ok the first couple of hours, then says it feels like someone stuck a needle in him and just drains out all his energy. he is 58 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs about 240.

The wide range of causes that can trigger fatigue include Medical causes – unrelenting exhaustion may be a sign of an underlying illness, such as a thyroid disorder, heart disease or diabetes. Lifestyle-related causes – alcohol or drugs or lack of regular exercise can lead to feelings of fatigue.
