HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
If his confusion has started after diarrhoea then it is due to loss of salts like Sodium in the stools , in that case give him salt water with lime everyday and in few days he will become normal . But if his confusion was there before the onset of diarrhoea then it could be due to diseases like Dementia or stroke . In that case he needs to consult a neurologist for evaluation.

HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic. Chronic fatigue could be due to Low hemoglobin , Serum Vitamin B12 deficiency , Vitamin D 3 deficiency , Diabetes or due to cardiac or kidney failure . I advise you to get certain tests for him and revert back with reports. Complete Hemogram , Serum Vitamin B12 levels , Serum Vitamin D3 levels , Serum TSH , Fasting and posting prandial blood sugars, Serum Creatinine and 2D ECHO. Hope this information was useful to you. Any clarifications feel free to ask .
