What Causes Fever And Swollen Face While Suffering From Insect Bite?
a 7 year old child had an insect bite that become very infected last week, treated with antibotic, within 3 days her temp is at 103 (for 6 days), was given Tylenol q 4 hours and Motrin q 6 hours, another antibotic, face is slightly swollen, today her tongue hurts. She has not eaten much in a week; but is drinking.

Hi,
Sometimes insects inject bacteria also which can cause bacterial infection. Take antibiotics approximately for recommended duration. The fever will come down.
