What Causes Fever And Vomiting When Diagnosed With Ulcerative Colitis?

Hello I am a 29 year old female with a history of severe ulcerative colitis(I ve been hospitalized over 15 times with 4 lengthy stays-longest was 42 days) yesterday I woke up with a high fever(normal temp is 97.6) of 103. No matter what I took(Tylenol etc) it wouldn t go away just slightly drop down to 101.6. I vomited had awful stomach pain very bad migraine/chest pains radiating all the way down to my fingers& it was a bit hard to breath. Today I m feeling a little better(fever is 100.4) but my feces smell like chemicals- & it s very painful. It also hurts even when I drink water. I was actually in so much pain earlier I took 30mg of OxyContin.(it helped a little) I m very nervous

I really appreciate your concern, high grade fever is indicative of infection and that needs to be differentiated with bacteria, virus fungal, endocrine dysfunction condition demands the medical attention, till then antipyretic is advisable like Acetaminophen along with this care needs to be take for dehydration take care and see the doctor hope this information helps.
