What Causes Fever & Stuffy Nose With History Of Adenoid?
Hi Dr, my son has an adenoid, and he had a severe attach last October (Blocked nose, breathing from mouse, runny nose, sleep disturbance), nowdays, he has only fever lead to sometimes mild blocked nose while sleeping. physically he is normal (he is 2 years by today). He has this fever attack for 3 times in the last two months. so any relation between the fever and adenoid and how I Know?
Noted the history about your 2 year old son having adenoid related symptoms, but now fever and wants to know the cause and whether related to adenoids. Fever can be due to multiple reasons including Upper Respiratory tract infection, gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection and so on. IF it is associated with adenoid enlargement then there would have been running nose, enlarged neck nodes and so on.Since your child is small please consult a Pediatrician to know the cause of fever and get investigated and treated accordingly. He is too small for surgery hence you have to treat adenoids at the moment by medicines and nasal congestion drops only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
