HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The initial symptoms of HIV can vary, some persons have no symptoms, othere may have flu like symptoms.

If had protected intercourse then the chance of transmission of HIV is very small.

If you wish to be sure that you do not have HIV, then you would need to do testing. This would be the only reliable way to determine if HIV is present.

You may also want to consider a full blood count and ESR test. This would determine if you have anemia . The ESR is increased when there is any inflammation in the body which can occur from infection, inflammation, injury, cancer, autoimmune diseases.

I hope this helps

Hi,

If you had used condom correctly, and if it was not torn during the sexual intercourse, you are safe from HIV. In addition, to get infected with HIV virus, your sex partner has to have HIV too. So stop worrying about HIV. To become absolutely sure regarding this, you can go for HIV testing. It will show positive as early as 3 weeks to as late as 12 weeks from the day you had sexual intercourse if you are infected with HIV.

You can get HIV infection by having multiple sex partners, having sexual intercourse without condom, by blood transfusions, by needle stick injury or by indulging in sexual activities with sex workers.

You need to take good care of your health to prevent yourself from recurrent ailments. Have healthy diet and adequate sleep. Do regular exercise, drink plenty of water, do not indulge into junk foods and try to relax when you can. Your recurrent ailments could be the reason of your losing weight and tiredness.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
