What Causes Fish Like Smell From Body Of Child?

My 3 yr old son smells like fish. I bathe him every other night and brush his teeth twice a day. No matter what I do to try and get rid of the smell, it seems to come back. The longer he goes without a bath, the worse it smells. He weighs about 34 pounds and is a healthy child.
