What Causes Flu, Fever And Joint Pains After Flu Injection?
Hi, I had my flu injection last week and one day later have a nasty flu, fever 38.6 hot and cold, achey joints, chesty cough been quite sick for five days, now my husband and kids are getting sick.should I be concerned. Thank you, kind regards Michelle.
Hello Dear. Flu, fever, joint pains may be caused because of several reasons. It can be just a simple viral flu or infections like- malaria, typhoid, dengue, chickungunya etc.
For the time being you can use over the counter medications like paracetamol and cetrizine tablets for fever, cold. Paracetamol also relieves you of joint pains. If you have high grade fever, chills which are not subsiding even after 3 days of treatment then you can consult a doctor who may do blood investigations like- Complete blood count, Malarial parasite, Widal test, dengue test, urine analysis ( to see urinary tract infection) etc.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
