What Causes Fluid Around Liver Post Partial Removal Of Liver Due To Tumor?

My dad had 25 percent of his liver removed on Tuesday. He had a cancerous tumor. He doesn t drink or smoke at all last drink was 44 years ago today he went back to hospital with fluid around live and a fever waitING on Er surgeon for twelve hours no other cancer in his body what is causing fluid
