What Causes Fluid Discharge From The Site Of Hernia Repair Surgery?

Hello, March 30, I had emergency surgery, Hernia, Umbilical area had "come out" emergency surgery performed, no mesh due to "high risk of infection". I have never experienced such excruciating pain! Followed up with surgeon Thursday April 6, all this time no sign of infection everything looks great. Friday, I start having "seeping" it was really bad yesterday. Is this something to worry about, "the seeping", I have to put a gauge on the area due to this. No temperature, no pain (except the normal pain that one goes through with incision with staples), no infection around the wound.
