What Causes Fluttering/ache At Belly Button With History Of An Umbilical Hernia?

I have had an umbilical hernia for several years. Three weeks ago, I felt very sharp stabbing pain to the left side of the hernia every time I moved, especially when walking. This lasted for almost 2 weeks. All of the sudden the pain stopped leaving only an ache at the belly button. Now I have a flutter where the pain was. What is happening here?

HI,Dear,Welcome with your query to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query,You seem to have undergone-
a-3 weeks ago-Partial obstruction with Impacted the mesentery mostly.
b-2 weeks after that, the impaction got releived and the pain stopped thereafter.
c-Flutter at the pain site indicates the gurgling intestines adhered at the impacted mesentery.
This is what is happening with your belly button.
Need to check with Surgeon and Get USG done to confirm with his Second Opinion, who would treat it accordingly thereafter.
Hope this reply would help you.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Will appreciate writing your feedback review comments,to help the needy patients like you at HCM.
