What Causes Foul Gas And Diarrhea?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Recently my son and I have gotten sick, with what we thought was a gastro bug. My mother also has it. She had it for three days. She thought it had gone away, but this morning it came back. My question is..Can you have sulfur burps, diarrhea, and a lot of foul smelling flatulence without it being giardia, and have it be just some weird bug???

Hello,

Diarrhea with foul smelling burps may be due to Infection or normal bowel flora replaced by pathogenic or anerobic flora lead to production of hydrogen sulphide gas.

So, avoid spicy food and alcohol. Eat soft diet with probiotics. If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
