Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed that I have had soft stool (not totally unusual for me) that is unusually foul smelling. (No good way to say that.) I have also had low back discomfort, and discomfort in my low pelvis, but not sure it is related. I am not nauseous, but am concerned about the unusual odor. I am new to this area and would have to go to the emergency room, which I am reluctant to do. I do not have a fever. Can you help?
I'd suggest to try on some probitics for some days and to pay attention to the food changes, because this can cause the odor change too. I really don't see an important symptom to go to the ER.
