What Causes Foul Smelling Stools After An Infection?

I thought that I was having a bout with diverticulitis but I finished 7days of antibiotics and I have gloating, going to the bathroom at least 6 times a day, gas, foul smelling stools and they seem to have mucas in them. I have been on a mostly liquid diet. What do you think?
