Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 65 yr. old fe. I had a total hysterectomy in 2012. I used to be prone to bladder infections. I have not had one in probably 10 years. I have a very odd symptom I need help understanding. For about the past approximately 3 months my urine smells like sour kraut. It has become worrisome to me that it could be an indication of an unknown health problem. Have you ever heard of this?
You may have urinary track infection.
Go for the tests:
1) Urine routine and microscopy
2) Urine culture and sensitivity
Give fresh morning urine sample for this (mid-stream urine) for this.
After investigations. Antibiotics according to the culture and sensitivity report will help you. Uptill; drink plenty of water, syrup Cital Hope this will help you.
Thank you
