What Causes Foul Tasting Burps Along With Vomiting?

I have had what I thought was stomach flu twice in 4 days. Now 4 days later I am getting the symptoms again - foul tasting burping (which preceded vomiting the last 2 times) and a rumbly intestine. I have had my gall bladder removed which is when I last had these recurrent symptoms. They last for about a day and then I am okay for a few days. What could be causing this?

Hi. Thanks for the query. From what I understand from your query, you must be having acute gastritis. Try to avoid oily and spicy food and see if it helps. You can also take antacids or anti-gastritis medications to see if it treats the symptoms. If the symptoms still persist, I would recommend a upper GI endoscopy to look for the exact cause.
