2 Questions: 1. I have frequent UTI s. I have had 10 in the last year, and six of those have been since June. I only get them after intercourse. Could it be something else? 2. I ve had a UTI in the last week. I no longer have any of the normal symptoms of frequency, urgency, or pain while urinating. However, I am experiencing discomfort after I urinate. Is this normal?
1. It can be urinary track infection or STD. You should get tested for STD and also do urine analysis and uroculture.
2. Discomfort after urination is a normal sign of infection even though you don't have burning or pain. It is more characteristic in frequent, recurrent infections.
Uroculture may determine the bacteria which is causing it and antibiotics which can be used.
