What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements, Intestinal Gas And Abdominal Cramps?

Should I be worried about recent increased frequency of bowel movements (3-5x or more per day), with urge to go/gas/rumbling but no stomach cramping and no non-gastrointestinal symptoms. This was first noticed a couple weeks ago while on vacation after eating at a relative s house (we noticed they didn t wash raspberries and boxed spinach before serving ... wondering about bacteria) - 2-3 days of discomfort and explosive stools followed. Things were improving but have been aggravated by rich food over Thanksgiving weekend with me having to run to the bathroom frequently, making me hesitant to go places. Does this seem like a wait and see situation? I do not like to take medications and have a strong immune system and don t want to mess with my gut flora.

Hello,

As you explain the history and if you don't like to take medication to try to take a lot of water and do a normal diet instead. You should feel better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
