What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements While On Magnesium Supplements?

The last couple weeks I have a bowel movement every morning and before that it was usually every other day. I haven't changed my diet except for increasing a magnesium tablet. Could that be a bowel movement Problem. My stool is medium runny and medium brown color.
