What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements?

I poop 2-3 times a day. First thing in the morning, I have severe stomach pains and my stool is soft and comes out nice and quick. The next 1-2 stools are hard round pellets and don't come out so nicely. I eat healthy during the day (dinner not so much but I don't go overboard) and exercise every night. What else can I do?
