What Causes Frequent Locking Of My Arms?

Both my left and right arm locks up frequently everyday.SOmetimes it locks all of a sudden and most of the time it pops every time I try to do a push up. Its very painful so I can t even do one push up. I don t know if this is related to my problem but I can move my shoulder joints up and down and every time I raise either arm up, it pops.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be having bilateral frozen shoulders. In this movement of shoulder is restricted in upper quadrant.Treatment of it is mobilization exercises of shoulder joints .Analgesics such as ibuprofen are given 8hourly to reduce pain. MRI can be done to do more detailed assessment. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
