Sir, my daughter is 3 years old now. She has been suffering with frequent urination problem so she was advised to go for an ultrasonography test. Her report says she is having cystitis with retention of post void residual urine of 14 cc along with left renal pelvic fullness. intially she was given TAXIM-O 50 syrup for 10 days & sporidex redimix for 1 month. So after one month again her ultrasound was done and as per report she is having mild left renal pelvic fullness with mild urinary wall thickness with post void residual urine of 14 cc. Kindly advice me what to do now and what s her condition now.
A 3 year old girl with possible UTI as treated with antibiotics, though urine analysis or culture sensitivity report is not available with renal pelvis fullness. Most likely she may be having VUR / Reflux. Get urinanalysis done.
If there is no infection, then get MCU done. According to image of MCU we can further plan antibiotic prophylaxis intermittent or continuous based on her response. Many such cases can be managed medically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Devendra Choudhary
