What Causes Frequent Urination And Burning Sensation In Urinary Tract?

It has been hurting and/or burning in my urinary tract but not when urinating. pressure on bladder and continuous feeling to urinate. Urinalyis showed: Occult blood - trace, RBC 4-10, mucus threads present, escherichia coli abormal 10,000-25,000 colony forming units, crystals present turbid appearance. Doctor put me on leviquin for 10 days. I was told there was no bacteria by my primary doctor so i do not have UTI. What is it possible that I have? I cannot take the burning/pain and pressure on the bladder one more day.

Hello
Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have UTI confirmed by presence of E-Coli in your urine analysis .

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
