What Causes Frequent Urination And Discomfort In The Lower Right Stomach?

Good morning Doc! My KUB ultrasound says: The kidneys both show mildly dilated pelvocalyces with no lithiasis noted. urinary bladder is normal in configuration. Impression: bilateralpelvocalyceal fullness / normal urinary bladder Ultrasound was done on me after 2 weeks of being inconvenient in frequent urination, about 2-3 times every hour, and once in a while, slight discomfort (not really pain) at the lower right of stomach. What does it mean? Thanks.

Urologist 's  Response
Hi,
I suggest you request the radiologist to estimate your post void residue,I.e.urine left behind in bladder after passing. If this high, it can cause both kidneys to have mild swelling. Also an estimate of uroflowmetry will help us in knowing if you need drugs like Flomax which will help reduce the frequency as well as improving slow flow.
I find this answer helpful
