What Causes Frequent Urination And Pain After An Abdominal Injury?

I fell while cleaning the shower about 4 days ago. Directly on my abdomen from standing position on the ledge. The next day I started experiencing UTI type symptoms. Freaquent urination and the twinge feeling when I am finishing up. The next day my urine was clear. I remained on the toilet to drain my bladder completely and I felt two pressure surges come out. I looked in the toilet and two mucus beads with brown surrounding then were in he toilette. I took them out and examined them. Other than the brown the beads were clear and gummy. Today my lower back is really hurting. I am wondering If this is related to the fall or if these are symptoms of a UTI. Thank you for your efforts.

Hello,

I think it can be related to falling and you may have injured your kidneys. The brown flakes you had may possibly be blood clots.
You may need to do an ultrasound of urinary track to check the possible injuries or hematomas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
