What Causes Frequent Urination And Vaginal Pressure?

Hi I m an 18 year old girl. I am sexually active and had sex about a week ago. Yesterday this started. I feel as though I have to pee all the time. After I pee I feel like I need to pee more but nothing else comes out. It does not hurt or itch. I just feel pressure by my clitoris which Is making me feel as though I need to pee 24/7. Also I m on my period.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It looks like you are infected with UTI, it is a bacterial infection (E Coli) due to which you get a strong urge to pass urine even if you have passed it & emptied your bladder. Visit ER, you need to get pelvic examination, CBC & Urine (R/E&C/S) examination done. Take care of your hygiene & do not have unprotected sex. In the meantime you can take Norfloxacin or Bactrim, Alkacitron with water. Keep yourself well hydrated, avoid taking coffee, tea, alcohol or any other addiction & artificial sweeteners. Pelvic exercises & bladder retraining exercises do help.

Hi,

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possibilities like urinary tract infection as it can present with similar symptoms.

Get a urine culture and start antibiotics accordingly.
