What Causes Frequent Urination?

I am peeing almost every hour, went to doc and was prescribed Nitrofurantoin supposedly for a UTI, but urine sample came back clean. I’m still peeing A lot. Incidentally this happened last year and I was given another drug, again test came back no UTI, but peeing frequently stopped. Can you tell me what you think is going on with my body?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, peeing a lot after Nitrofurantion can be

- Drug resistant UTI ( Nitro is not responsive )
- Another cause of frequency as calculus in the urinary system, disorders of bladder tone, neurology or else
- diabetes
- others.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
