What Causes Furry Stools After Taking Antibiotics?

Hi , I ve been sick for 5 days already, and my doctor bearly told me yesterday that I have urine tract infection . Since then she has given me antibiotics and I take two pills a day for 10 days. I noticed (sorry if it sounds gross) that after a bowel movement I see that my poop looks furry. I am wondering if its normal or should I see a doctor immediately ?

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.

You are taking antibiotics for urinary tract infection. Because of antibiotics may cause furry stool.

Take proton pump inhibitor drugs or antacids with antibiotics. If this problem is long standing than you have to consent a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis.

Stool examination test is helpful to check any infection is present or not.
Abdominal ultrasound sonography is helpful for further diagnosis.

I hope my guidance is helpful to you.
Take care.
Thanks.
