Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son has autism. He is 45 years old. He has always eaten his food very fast(+/-5 minutes) and minutes sometimes hours after he eats, he gags. It sounds like the gagging is from his throat and stomach contents He never vomits but does get nausea. He says his stomach is nervous. Could all this gagging be from eating so fast?
Hi madam. I think that gagging is related with the fast eating of your son like is this last one related with his principal problem the autism or better with the psychological problems it comprises. The fact that he never vomits is the most important to make as judge that there is not an important organic problem in the upper digestive tract of your son.
