What Causes Gastric, diarrhea, cramping And Frequent Urge For Urination?

I had my gallbladder removed six months ago. Since then I ve been in perfect health and no pain. However, in the last ten days I ve experienced symptoms I was warned might occur immediately after the surgery. Within 15-45 minute of eating I am gassy, have mild to moderate pain/cramping and feel the urge to go to the bathroom. Sometimes I experience mild diarrhea in addition to the above symptoms. The diarrhea seems to occur the most after I eat a fattier meal. But I experience the other symptoms even when I eat low/no fat small meals. Also, FYI, I eat fairly healthy so my higher fat meals aren t like some people would eat ie. burger and fries. Shouldn t I have experienced all of this immediately after my surgery rather than starting six months later? Any thoughts? How long should I let this go on until I visit my doctor? FYI I ve had my yearly check up within the last two weeks, right before these symptoms increased.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of Gall bladder removal surgery 6 months ago and everything was fine until recently that you started having gases, pain in abdomen and feeling of going to bathroom after eating something; this being in spite of healthy foods and low/no fat in food.
The most probable reason I can
think of is that there may be a sub-clinical infection of the intestinal tract hence symptoms appeared after such a long time as now there is no reservoir of bile, it is flowing regularly to the intestines adding on to the problems that you have.
I would advise you the following:
First of all, send stool samples for tests on consecutive days.
Check again for blood- sugar, liver functions.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Reduce fat in foods and take small frequent meals, get a course of the medicines required as pre the reports and you will be fine.
It is possible that you might have developed allergy to some of the food components. This can be be picked up only by close observation.
