Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Greenish stools are normal in infants. If baby is gaining adequate weight on breastfeeding no need of treatment. But here the issue is pus cells found in stool. So baby needs Treatment with antibiotics as correctly started. It will take at least 72 hours to act. Regarding feeding please strictly give only breastfeeding till 6 months. that is best feed and medicine for the baby. I would like to suggest to monitor weight gain of the baby. One more thing source of infection. If baby is exclusively breastfeeding there is no chance of diarrhea as breast milk provides immunity against those infection. Probably baby was given other things to it from which got infected. Exclusive and adequate breast feeding is to be followed strictly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
