What Causes Green Tinged Urine In Foleys Catheter?
my husband has had an indwelling catheter almost 3 yrs postop a trimalleolar fx with partial closed reduction of the tibia. He is basically WC/bed bound due to a number of complications, one of which has been sepsis six times since then and gastroparesis. He has had chronic hematuria intermittently for a number of months, no cause found for this except possibly from the Coumadin, but now has brown-green tinged urine and what looks like dirt sediment in the Foley. His protein is now 2+ and bilirubin 1+, RBCs 30-50, No WBCs, bacteria Mod/hpf, mucous mod/hpf. Cystoscopy neg. Thank you for any input you may have on this situation.
