What Causes Greenish Brown Mucus In The Stools?

Hello,

For a little under a week now I have been having a green mucoid, usually with a patch of redish-brown in the middle, glob being secreted from my anus during bowel movements or when I pass gas. This has never occured before so I am wondering what it could be, what is is causing it, if it is related to my menstration cycle just ending, or if it serious.

Hello,

Green mucous may be seen in irritable Bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel problems or green leafy vegetable intake or bilious stools with decrease absorption.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Avoid dairy products and gluten-containing food.
Use tablet normoxic twice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
