What Causes Grey Coloration In The Stools?

I have been on a dose of 400 mg 1xnightly of mag oxide prescribed by my GI for 4 days now. Two days ago I noticed I had grey stool, is this from the mag oxide? My GI is horrible about getting back to me about questions so I figured I would do my own research in the mean time. Thanks.

Hello,

Probably magnesium oxide may won't cause for grey color stools. Possible causes like obstruction of bile or liver or biliary pathology etcetera. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
