What Causes Growing Bumps Inside Vulva And Swollen Vaginal Lips?

Hi, I ve noticed that I had an itch down there for a little while and a few days ago there were 2 small red bumps on the inside of my vulva. I had just shaved that area and I figured it might be an ingrown hair or something. They are painful to touch and irritating when walking, staying in one position for too long, and using the bathroom. On the fourth day of noticing these bumps I noticed that they had grew. One is the size of a penny and the other a pea. They are flat with a white top which almost seems to be a scab. It doesn t feel/look like something that could be popped. That side of the vulva, the whole lip is red and swollen. I ve been reading in what it could be but I can t find much similar. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it will be genital warts.

Consult a gynaecologist and plan for cauterization or cryosurgery.

Nothing much to worry as it is a harmless and easily curable condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
