What Causes Growing Lumps On The Head?

My 6 yr old daughter noticed she had a lump on the lower left side of her head the Dr said it was a swollen lymph node and it should get smaller and go away.. that was a week ago now it is enlarged to the size of a nickel with another one above it the size of a quarter. Below the nickel sized one I feel a tiny lump forming. She did have strep throat a month ago and now has to flat shiny sores on her head where her hair is now missing... please help I m so scared for my child s well-being. Jays mommie

Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. The description is more in favour of swollen lymph nodes due to infection in the scalp. So, you may start her on antibacterial-antifungal cream such as Quadriderm twice daily application along with oral antibiotics such as Amoxicillin for a week.
Hopefully it will improve in a week.
Take care
