What Causes Gush Of Heat In Arms?

Hi. I am a woman aged 40 years. For the first time, I experienced a strange rush of heat along my left arm, mainly shoulder to elbow. It lasted for about ten minutes before slowly subsiding. It felt extremely hot inside and the external was totally normal. In the morning, I felt similarly in my sleep I recall, but since I was sleeping I was not very conscious of it. Last night there was sudden pain in my left arm and I rubbed a mild gel before going to sleep.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to perimenopause symptoms. The rash of heat is completely normal. I suggest to stay in a cool room and wear loose clothes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
