What Causes Hallucination While Suffering From Pulmonary Fibrosis?
My 90 year old mother with pulmonary fibrosis has recently started having hallucinations - she is seeing people in her apt who aren't there. She has also lost both of her hearing aids recently - we are waiting for new ones. Her gerontologist says physically she is better than she has been. Any ideas?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Hallucination is the symptom which is self limiting (Most of the time ) and it seldom need any treatment of course.
It is being treated with particular anti-psychiatric drug but such drug can not be given to a 90 years old.
In this age hallucination is common and it is nothing to worry, it will come around soon.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know for further assistance.
