What Causes Hand Burning At The IV Site?

Had a CT scan with contrast through the IV site in my hand. Burning with pre & post saline flushes also during the injection of the dye. It s been 2days since. Can any part of the cannula remain in my hand? It feels like there s something hard there.

It is unlikely that a part of canula is remaining in your hand. You might be having thrombi phlebitis or in simple terms inflammation of veins which require only supportive management. But it could not be confirmed without examining you.So I suggest you see a local doctor, so that he can examine you and do what is required.
