What Causes Hand Tremors And Hair Loss While On Sertraline And Lorazepam?
I am 84 years old, lost my beloved husband last August. My doctor put me on Sertraline 50mg, one in the morning, then .5mg lorazepam for insomnia at night. I am losing my hair like crazy, feel sleepy all the time, slightly off balance, with shaky hands - side effects? How do I wean myself off these pills? Laverne Smith YYYY@YYYY
Hello, Yes it is probably the lorazepam. That can cause most of your symptoms. I would leave the sertraline alone for now and very slowly wean yourself off the lorazepam. You need to talk to your doctor about getting some 1-2 mg tablets so you can do a very slow wean off over about 3 months. If you withdraw it suddenly you could have severe side effects Regards
