What Causes Hard/solid Lump Under The Skin Due To Dog Bite?

my son was bit by a dog about two weeks ago. My son's forearm is healing nicely. However there is a hard/solid lump under the skin just below where the dog bite is. I am concerned about what it could be and/or if its serious. He is also displaying flu like symptoms.

Hi,
It seems that there might be having hematoma caused due to dog bite.
there might be having some infection giving rise to flu like symptoms.
Apply ice pack 2-3 times a day for few days.
Apply Thrombophob cream.
Go for one antibiotic medicine for 3 days.
Ok and take care.
