Hello. Thanks for asking HCM.

I can understand your concern. Your wife is having headache and vertigo. It may be due to the head injury, tension headache, sinusitis or non-specific headache. Actually the head injury had occurred 1 month back. And the headache has started after 1 month, so it is less likely to be due to head injury if the interval was symptom free. Usually head injury causes continuous headache.

There is need to rule out other causes. Tension headache usually present as dull headache in whole head, more in bright light/sun light/straining, usually remains for few hours to days and even present after taking painkiller. It is one of the most common headache. It can occur after eye straining. If your wife is having complaint of blurring of vision, get her vision checked.

You can give her painkiller like Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription. Ask her to lie down whenever she is having vertigo. Avoid bright light and sun light till symptoms relieved. If no relief in symptoms, you can consult physician. He may advise her visual examination, BP check up, vestibular system examination.

Thanks. Hope it will help you. Take care.
