What Causes Headache And Fever After Got Hit On The Top Of The Head?
My son got hit on top of the head, at a lower rate of speed, with a baseball last night. He did say he had a headache. But he went onto to sleep last night. 4 am he woke up with 103 fever, head hurts so bad he has trouble walking, neck hurts and right now his legs are across me and his feet keep twitching. ......
I understand your concern and would explain that his symptoms seem to be related to possible intracranial hemorrhage or any other complication of a head trauma. The fever is not typical of intracranial hemorrhage, and may indicate an infection or be related to epilepsy seizures (the twitching feet may be seizures).
I recommend you to bring him as soon as possible to the ER for a careful physical exam, a brain CT scan and a complete blood count.
He may need urgent treatment.
Hope to have been of help! Feel free to ask any other questions whenever you need! Kind regards, Dr. Aida
