What Causes Headache And Imbalance Issues When Under Stress?
In the last few months I ll have a split second that my head feels odd, unfocused, for want of better words. Recently, I sometimes awake w/ a headache & then my head feels odd all day, not dizzy & unbalanced, but kind of dizzy. Been under stress lately, due to husband w/ MCI dementia & his recent surgery for a different problem. Meanwhile, I ve had to assume charge of the finances that he always handled. I m 74.
You may very well be suffering from some form of tension type headaches secondary to stress/anxiety and there are plenty of understandable reasons why this should be the most likely explanation. However, based on the fact that you are 74 years old as well....I would first recommend that a neurologist listen to your story in more detail, examine you, and send you for indicated testing or imaging before making further judgement or embarking upon any specific treatment regimen. You also could be coincidentally reacting to a mild viral infection in which case you should get better in a short period of time with good hydration, eating meals on time, and getting good rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi
