What Causes Heart Palpitations After Smoking Marijuana?

Hi, I smoked marijuana for the second time the other day and it is now 5 days later and I am still having heart palpitations/serious anxiety. It is almost as if my cortisol is being released constantly. I am just wondering if this goes away ever. Is this something I should worry about or is it just the remainding effects of marijuana?

Hello,

I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to anxiety, probably triggered by smoking marijuana. Coming to this point, I would recommend having some rest and take plenty of water.

Your situation will improve spontaneously in the next days. So, try to relax and don't worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka
