Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir, I am 42 yr old female, 5.3 height, and a house wife. I have giddiness since 4 months. my audiogram report is normal. thyroid is also normal. no sugar, but cholestrol is 230, my heart beats are also missing in between. so did echo test and ECG too. both are normal. so I want to know what is the reason for giddiness? at the time of echo my bp was little bit higher 160/90. but later it was 120/80 for one week...
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
Palpitations without underlying heart disease are generally considered benign. But cholesterol level is high and it can cause coronary atherosclerosis.
You need statin medicines such as Atorvastatin in order to lower cholesterol level.
Coronarography is necessary to check coronary arteries conditon. Glucose test is also necessary for ruling out diabetes mellitus.
Contact your cardiologist.
All the best. Dr. Behar.
