General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

All the symptoms of heartburn after eating and on going to bed at night are indicative of a condition called GERD. It means gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
In this condition the acid and stomach contents are re fluxed into esophagus thus causing heartburn.
I would advise you the following in such a condition:
Soft bland and small frequent meals.
No anxiety or stress.
Take a PPI like Omeprazole.
Domperidone to regulate the esophageal sphincter.
Upper GI Endoscopy and other tests as may be needed for further evaluation and management.

Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General & ENT Surgeon
